We provide veterinary assistance for spaying and neutering to help low-income families, and we’re devoted to the humane trapping, sterilization, and re-release of feral cats. Fighting for Every Feline Life
Feline overpopulation in Sacramento is overwhelming, with thousands of cats and kittens euthanized or left to suffer as strays each year. Since 2004, SAKrescue has stepped up—spaying and neutering over a thousand cats and kittens, placing most in loving homes, and safely re-releasing those too feral to adopt. With stronger spay/neuter efforts, we’re determined to reduce suffering and save lives across the community.
